“Most people cannot say that the Deerfield Valley Rescue has saved their life – more than once – but I can. In 2009, unbeknownst to me, I was in the middle of a heart attack. When the ambulance arrived, I was given a life-saving nitroglycerin pill. I would not have survived that incident without it. In 2017, I collapsed while at breakfast in Wilmington and, once again, was taken to the hospital by Deerfield Valley Rescue. Last month, in the middle of a pickle ball game, I felt lightheaded, and the next thing I knew, I was on the ground. Unconscious. I was shocked by AED twice, the ambulance and team arrived, and taken to Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. It is no exaggeration to say that without the ambulance squad and trained professionals of Deerfield Valley Rescue, I would not be here today to relate these stories to you.”

Subscription Program
This year, more than ever, the Deerfield Valley Rescue needs YOUR help! Unexpectedly, one of the three ambulances was taken out of service and needs to be replaced. Now. Your very life may depend on the availability of an ambulance. If you have never been a supporter of the Deerfield Valley Rescue, we request that you start this year. If you have been a supporter, we ask that you increase your donation. All our lives depend on this vital community service
Your subscription will cover all members of your immediate household listed on the back of your card. This assures you of no additional cost for ambulance services with Deerfield Valley Rescue for the entire calendar year. Your health insurance routinely covers a portion of the bill, but seldom covers the entire amount. Do not assume they will. However, your subscription will cover the rest.
Our subscription levels are as follows: BASIC $ 60.00 covers transport to Bennington, Brattleboro, Grace Cottage, and Greenfield. SUSTAINING $90.00 transport to Albany area hospitals, Dartmouth, Berkshire Medical, and Bay-State Springfield. FOUNDING $150.00 transport to all other VT, CT, MA, and NYC area hospitals. Be aware that all emergency calls require transportation to the closest area hospital first. Transfers will be considered after the patient is stabilized and the need is evaluated.
